Appearance:
Riley Bureaux has a fair share of genetically transferred beauty to call her own. From her father's side, her naturally dark hair and tall stature; from her mother, her small frame, striking eyes, and potentially fowl temper. Though, the girl quickly overpowers her mother in height, her personality is frankly one in the same.
Though the girl is extremely tall compared to other girls her age, her shoe size falls short of expectations, as does her weight. Considered anorexic and bulemic on multiple occasions, her slim frame is only gained by her mother, who reasonably is only 5'4, four inches shorter than her child of nineteen.
Even Riley will admit she loves the colour of her eyes; the rich yellow-green accent that it enumerates in which simply dazzles both her and other people who come into contact with them. Though her hair is usually tied back or formed into cascading curls falling past her shoulders, it is rumored that the girl can do just about anything with her hair, though she fails to pay attention to it.
Her skin is dark from the previous summers, especially seeing as extraversion-seeking girl fails to spend more than a few minutes inside. Sports are a favorite; though spending time on a team is slightly unlikely due to her 'problem'.
History:
Riley Accura Dior Bureaux was born on September 21, 1989, to a lovely couple whom of which had only married due to a careless mistake. Like her mother, the girl grew up constantly being the center of attention, and never expecting any less than perfection. Riley grew up happily; her family had money. They got by quite easily, and her grandparents had a lot of love for their only grandchild. Though, they never quite expected Riley to become as, well...outspoken, so to speak. Taking the majority of traits from her mother, the Montague family was reassured of their claim of the growing teen.
It was early in the child's life in which she committed herself to social outings. Sports initially ended up making Riley Bureaux the center of attention - only partially what the girl really wanted - and made her life both a pleasure and a living hell. It wasn't until her few final years in high school that the girl was faced with some entirely new changes. Changes that wouldn't allow her a few things she'd always grown accustomed to having; a boyfriend, for one thing, was completely out of the question.
It had happened when the girl was merely experimenting with a few things, - those things being men - and ended up getting into something way over her pretty little head. It was true, all those rumors.... Riley was a bit of a whore during her younger years - but in no way possible did she deserve the treacherous fate she recieved. Not that it mattered to the jealous ex-girlfriends of the men she stole away from them.
A simple truck-ride into the forest, she had told herself. No, this was what everyone was doing nowdays. Riley Bureaux couldn't be seen doing something uncool now, could she? Nope. The girl barely noticed the full moon, nor the rather sharp teeth beginning to nibble on her throat. No, the girl was completely out of it. This was just a new sexual tactic men had developed - nothing unusual, right? Not until the 'chomp' was made, anyways. The last thing Riley had remembered was a smirk; the bum had merely passed his little problem right along to the next whore ready to jump into his truck.
Over a period of time, the two marks passed away, losing her identification as a vampire. Riley had never believed in them, herself, for she figured they were only a figment of a few emo kids' imaginations. It was the usual 'dare to be different' phase, her parents figured, when their only daughter failed to come home for three nights in a row in her first week. She had a hard time accepting this new change, and eventually had to give up her slot on the sports teams she had dedicated herself to.
It was her parents divorce, however, that grabbed her attention. How would she make it though anything without their support? Many thoughts crossed her mind at this point, including the wavering decision to confess of her 'condition'. However, it was in meeting with another of her kind that she learned it was best not to tell anyone, lest it be another vampire. Eventually she moved in with her father, as her mother was off somewhere or another gallavanting Vegas or something. Riley was in this alone, she figured.
Eh, screw 'em all.
Personality:
Oh, this outgoing child? Yeah, that's Riley alright. Always the one to point and laugh, it was completely ironic that such a girl was stuck with the condition of being a vampire - something people believed to never exist. Her rotten luck, she figured. She was always considered popular, she supposed - though her 'friends' consisted of girls with a starvation for gossip; who else was the girl to converse with? The nerd in the back with a quantum physics book, or the emo kid with tattoos and piercings galore? Oh, that's a toughie.
Riley Bureaux might possibly be the most sardonic
Riley is devoid of any sign of emotion, especially when it comes to her parents' divorce, or her step-mother's pregnancy. The girl refuses to converse with the two of them, and generally completes the rest of her day in her room, though a move-out has been scheduled, much to her grand-parent's consent. Riley is, in one single sentence - foul-tempered, spontaneous, slightly romantic, extremely bright, and ever-so vampiric.
Score: 1 for the vampire race.
Vamp word: blood
Were word: only if werewolf.
