She had know true reason to be there, after all she didn't have a car. Her mother had never let her have one, said it would be to dangerous. So now she was on her skate board, letting her long raven black hair move in the wind as she went down the side walk, on her way to the gas station. Skylar had five dollars with her, that was it. She was just going to buy a drink and some chips, and then head on out, go around town for a bit.
The skate board zig zagged as she moved it so she wouldn't hit someone as they walked. A grin was plastered on her face as words came out, a song she remembered by heart, one she loved and hadn't heard in so long. "Down an unknown road, to embrace my fate." She'd been humming it, and just started singing it in the third verse, it was mainly out of know where, at least to some. "Though the road may wonder, it will lead me to you."
Skylar was never one to care if she was looked at funny or not, because she knew what she wore got looks, and the way she was did it on it's own. So why not gain more without meaning to? She was the crazy, goofy girl on the block, it was her job to be wacky! " And a thousand years, would be worth the wait." Her skate board kept moving below her feet, before it started moving a bit faster than she wanted to, but she did nothing about it. Her grin stayed there, and her blue eyes gave off that hyper gleam they always gave off.
The small singing didn't stop, at least not yet, and with a little more movement, she was stopping the skate board, and finishing the verse while stepping off of it. "And i wont look back, I can go the distance." Skylar flipped the board, and grabbed it while it was in the air, and held it by her side before she pushed the gas station door open. Letting the change of hot to cool air hit her dead on. This was nothing, singing out in the open, she didn't think she had a god like voice, but she also didn't care if she was bad. Skylar didn't care, she liked being the odd ball, she liked being weird. [/blockquote]

Lily had been just walking around town most of the time, waiting for the sun to go down to enjoy a nice human. Her eyes were dark, showing she was, indeed, thirsty. Lily was walking down the sidewalk, her hands in her hip-hugging jeans pockets. She brushed some of her bangs from her face with a small sigh. With all these humans around... She was thinking about taking one out now.
No, no, she thought, Bad idea. Another small sigh escaped her lips and her good hearing picked up something.... Somebody... Singing? Blinking, she stopped walking and looked around. Across the street, she saw a girl stake boarding, singing. She rose an eyebrow and grinned a little. Next "prey", maybe? Lily thought she looked good... And smelled good. Looking both ways, Lily quickly crossed the street and watched the girl walk into a gas station. Lily walked towards the same gas station, trying to hide a grin. Wait till she got her alone, nobody else around... Lily shook her head and pushed the door open. Her eyes flickered over the small place, looking for that girl. Slowly, she began walking around, looking.

Nothing to do. It was a boring summer, for the mot part, but it was always like that. Her and her brother could find things to do, her mother was gone, they had know father. So just the two could find at least one or two things to do, right? Skate boarding was a hobby, it was one of the things the two shared as twins, and since it got them out of the house, they did it a lot. Though her singing stopped, her humming began, picking off where her voice left off as she searched the shelves.
Skylar was bent down a little, looking at the chips, that was what she was after. That and a drink, but she already knew which one she would get, but chips, it took her forever. Considering she had about three favorites, funoins, Doritos's and Cheetos's. Which to get? It didn't take her long, she went for the one's she hadn't had in a while, the number one favorite of most, Doritos's it was! Her humming was still there, and she grabbed the small bag, before standing back straight, letting her black hair fall to the way it had been, some over her shoulders, and part covering her blue eyes.
The ringing as someone walked in had made it to her ears, but she had paid know mind to it at all. With her skate board at her side, and the bright orange wheels gaining attention, she headed to the cold drinks, last one and she could head on out to meet her brother. That was where she was going, to the park to meet him. This was just a pit stop on the way, she always liked to make him wait, it was more fun, and it got him mad, which made anything they did even more fun!

Lily saw the girl and a smile spread across her face, showing her white teeth. Maybe she would start stalking this girl... That would give her something to do, at the least. She kept glacing at her, acting like she was looking at the cookies. She watched her get a drink and noted the skateboard. Huh, after killing the girl, she could take that skateboard and sell it, or maybe learn how to ride it; that wouldn't be hard, now would it? Not for a vampire, it shouldn't. She glanced at the girl and could smell her from where she stood. She smells really good... Hmm, this is going to be a good, no maybe great meal! she thought, grinning evilly, as she picked up a box of chocolate chip cookies. She turned over to the back and began reading about them. Yuck! Human food is so... So nasty, how can they stand to eat this? I never would..., Human or not.

Eyes, glances. She could feel them. Any time at school when someone threw a look her way, she felt it. It was always like that, even a glance she could feel. So it was nothing knew that Skylar felt eyes on her every now and then. She was use to it, she stuck out. She wanted to stick out. Her hair was black and was in the emo genre, her clothes where bright, her skate board was partly bright. She just always stuck out in a crowed.
With the top of the drink in between two fingers, and the rest of her hand around the small bag of chips, she began to move to the small line that stood there. It wasn't long, she was maybe the fifth person, but she could wait. As long as it took, her brother would wait for her. He knew how she was, they where twins after all. And he should be use to her lateness by now! It wasn't something new.
Her humming continued, she hadn't finished the song yet, but at least it stayed at humming.

Lily watched the girl, listened to her hum. She kept grinning as she put the cookies back. She glanced at Skylar again and picked the cookies back up as Skylar got into the line. Slowly, she walked over to the line, standing right behind Skylar. She inhaled through her nose and her grin grew. The girl did smell great. She wanted to move closer but forced her feet to stay where they were. She kept looking around, but her gaze mostly stayed on Skylar. She gripped the bag of cookies a little tighter, fighting the urge to pounce on the girl now and stick her teeth in her neck. What a fun thing to do! But, not now. She waited for the line to move, rocking back and forth on her heels, inhaling through her nose most of the time, enjoying this girl's scent. Just think of the taste of her blood if she smelled like this! Lily gripped the bag much tighter, smashing most of the cookie in the bag, making lots of noise while doing so, fighting the urge with all she had. She could do it. She knew she could.

Her humming was there, but it turned to mumble, to where she could hear her words, and hopeful know one else would. "Like a shooting star, i can go the distance!" The tune was hummed, but the song was over with and now she could only do the tune while she waited in line. Her blue gaze went to her hand as she turned it over, and looked at the watch, looking at the time. Skylar shouldn't make him wait that long, but she would end up doing it.
Five minutes was long enough for her, she'd never been later than five, and she almost didn't want to make a habit out of it, angering her brother was fun, but it went to an extent. Which meant if she kept the boy waiting anymore, it would mean a lot more chasing, and a lot less fun. With that though in mind her eyes went behind her and her head turned a bit, looking at the crunching sound that was being made. "If you keep doing that, they'll all be crushed." Her grin was on as she told the girl behind her this, and her black bangs seemed to cover her eye.
Skylar moved, making sure not to let her board hit someone and sat the drink and food down, on a shelf, she didn't have the time to stand in line, she had about two minutes before she knew her brother would expect her to come around the corner. Her black hair bounced as she made her way to the door, skate board under her arm still. She could live with out chips, and a drink. The humming started back up, again it was only the tune.

Lily was trying to stop the urge from taking her over; she knew she could fight it, but did she want too was the real question. Lily listened to the girl sing and shook her head a little. Her eyes swept the place, then landed on Skylar. She blinked as she spoke to her. She rose an eyebrow and smiled a little.
"Heh, yeah..." she whispered, gently loosening her grip on the bag. She blinked as Skylar walked away and cussed. She watched the girl walk towards the door and threw her bag of chips on a shelf. She hurried after her, her pitch, reddish-brown streak hair flowing as she did. Might as well talk to the girl, since it seems she can't stay in one place, Lily growled in her head, easily catching up to Skylar. "Hey!" she smiled at her, "I'm Lily."

Skylar didn't know. She had know clue the girl was following her for that reason, she didn't know she was following her either, she'd only thought she needed to go the same way as her. But it seemed to become obvious to her after another minute or two. That didn't mean she knew her reason, that was way off to her, and she most likely wouldn't know what it was either.
Her walking had stopped, once she'd pushed the glass door open, then the skate board was know longer on the ground. It's neon orange wheels on the pavement. Her foot was sat on it, showing she was wearing her favorite pair of converses. They where all she ever wore. They where her favorite, the one's her mother had bought her because she couldn't stop looking at them.
Though she never took off, and her hand still stayed on the door, keeping it open. Her bright blue eyes looked over to the girl that seemed to be following her; the girl said her name, the least Skylar could do was give her own, "Skylar, nice to meet you." She grinned at the girl, and once she wasn't in the door way, she moved so that she rolled a bit on the board, and let the door shut behind her.

Lily watched the girl's movements. She couldn't help but let her smile grow as Skylar told her her name. As the door was closing, Lily easily and gracefully slipped out of it before it fully closed. She stared at Skylar, still smiling. "It's nice to meet you too," Lily said sweetly, "I see you can skateboard, awesome." Lily begun wondering how much longer she could stay in the sun. It was bad enough she was in it this long. Then again, she had been staying in the shadows most of the time, she really didn't want to risk it and get burnt if she couldn't stand it. She tried pushing that thought away and begun thinking about Skylar. She liked skateboarding, making herself look... Strange in public, and not staying in one place; well, to Lily it seemed that.
[OOC; I have to say, Skylar is really cool, I love her, she's funny xD]
