Daiki didn't understand why he came to Wal-mart in the first place. He wanted to be back at the school and begin to warm up for teaching his next class. But the thought of his mother came to the front of his mind as she forced him to come to 'wally world'. She wanted there to be snacks and drinks for the kids when class was over. Daiki refused and said there wouldn't be enough time but his mother, oh his mother, said there was and pushed him out the door.
As he walked the aisles he held a basket full of junk food over his shoulder. Even though Daiki loved kids he had no clue as to what they eat or drink for that matter. Daiki was a health nut so he knew veggies and fruits were out of the question for always he heard many kids talking about some new chip brand. As he turned the corner to one of the aisles, BAM, he ran into someone. As Daiki stumbled back he closed his eyes but as soon as his feet became still he opened them along with a moan that left his lips. Daiki looked back to the person and felt embarrassed that he ran into a girl. He gave a slight smile and said softly, "I'm sorry for running into you, Miss."

Alisa stumbled backwards a bit, trying to make it look as though she hadn't ran into someone, and that they where just fixing to hit one another but weren't. It was her idea of making sure know one had saw, but then again, the town walmart wasn't overly crowded, so who was there to see? It wasn't like people lurked behind things and watched OK, she took that thought back, some did lurk! But not many, so what did she have to worry about?
She had a slight headache now, that was her fault really. She hadn't watched where she was going, and so she had ran into them, she was yet to look up. Her blue eyes stayed on the ground for a moment, to come up to the face of a guy. She almost took another step back. That's why it hurt so bad!" It would been a guy, she should have figured that out when she hit him, a girl didn't hurt that much when one ran into the other.
The werewolves hand came up and scratched the back of her neck, giving a small laugh. It was embarrassing to say the least. "It's my fault really. Should watch where I'm going more often!" It had been her fault, and not his after all.

As the girl looked to ground, Daiki decided to smooth out his outfit. Today he had on jeans, a t-shirt and a button up shirt that was open. She smoothed out his t-shirt till he was satisfied. He then went to his hair and ran his free hand through it. When he was finally done he looked back to Alisa and began to study her. He lived in his town his whole life and began to wonder why he hadn't seen this girl before. Surely, a girl as pretty as her would remain in his mind but her face never came to Daiki.
He listened and gave a grin with a little laugh. Daiki then nodded his head and said, "Okay then it's your fault," He paused for a minute and he put down the basket full of junk food. Daiki stood back up and and smiled to Alisa, "Well then let me be the one at fault to introduce myself. I'm Daiki Takahoshi." He placed a hand out along with a smile.

Her denim eyes studied him for a moment. She wasn't the best with names and faces. But she had been in the town for three years. At least that long, maybe a little longer. And she didn't know him. Well she didn't no everyone in the town either, she had met another girl the other day, and they both where asking the others questions. Alisa thought she might have been the only to no what she truly was, considering she tried to protect the girl.
She tilted her head to the side a bit, laughing at what he said. No one every said it was her fault back! He had to have a sense of humor. Everyone else fought about it. Her slightly curly dark hair rolled off her shoulder and hung in the air. A smile tugged her lips upwards, she laughed when he introduced him self, before holding her hand out and shaking his. "Alisa Johnson, it's a pleasure." Her small Greek accent was there.
For the most part it was gone, but it was still pick able.

Daiki gave a firm grip to Alisa's hand and shook it. He, too, tilted his head to the side with a smirk and said, "Pleasure Alisa." Daiki had his own accent but it was only a touch. He grew up with learning to speak English and Japanese. His parents and brother were fluent by the time he was adopted and they helped him learn. After shaking hands for a minute, Daiki let go and smiled to Alisa. He noticed she had a bit of an accent and dared to go further into the deep.
"Is that a European accent I hear coming from your lips? Or are my ears deceiving me?" He gave a grin. Daiki bent down to pick up his basket again and put it across and back from his shoulder. He realized now that he had to look down to Alisa but Daiki was unusually tall for an Asian and it always bugged him. "Now let me guess... you're not from France or the U.K. Definitely not from Italy..." He paused and began to rub his free hand on his chin, "Now that only leaves, Greece. I'm going to guess you're from Greece. Am I right?" He smiled and awaited her answer.

She was born and raised there, her parents had come from Greece as well. Though she had went through years and years with the small accent, once she came here it started to go away, she tried to keep up with the small American accent. Though the Greek one always came out some how, it wouldn't fully disappear, but for the most part she sounded America.
Her smile changed a bit, making her lips part; showing her pearly whites. Her canines weren't noticeable from far away, but they where a bit sharper than normal, not like a vampires. But they where sharper than his, she knew that much. Someone asked back home once, she passed it off that she had used a nail file when a kid and tried to make the sharper. They believed her as well. She laughed, "Now I'm sure your ears wouldn't trick you!"
A grin came to her lips, and her head went from tilting to being straight. Her hand had fallen back to her side and she looked at him, watching him pick up the basket he had sat down. "We have a winner! Yes I'm from Greece. Athens Greece to be exact." Alisa was always in a goofy mood, she usually couldn't be serious until someone made her mad.
Now it was her turn to say something, and it pretended to the basket of food he had. "I see your not a very healthy eater." She was kidding, everyone had to have something not health related at some point or another.

Daiki put down his hand from his chin but the grin remained on his face. Though it changed soon enough when she smiled and said something about his ears. His grin changed to a smiled almost like hers. Showing the pearly whites and all and a laugh left his lips when he was announced winner. Daiki ran his hand through his hair once again and gave a victory sign with his hand.
He was a nerd that way but hey, what's life without a little fun. Daiki brought his victory sign to his side with the word 'yes' that stretched out. After that he listened to Alisa and he pointed to the basket, "This?!" Then to himself, "Me?!" But the hand went to the back of his neck. He bent back and gave a nice loud laugh. Daiki bent back up and his teeth showed in his smile, "No no. Me plus junk food equals no good. No, this is for the kendo class I teach. My parents own a kendo school and I'm a teacher. I had no choice to come here for my mother sent me here for the kids." He gave another laugh as he thought about it, "In reality I'm a totally health nut. You try and feed me one of these things and my body will reject it."

She had to look up to him, like a little girl has to to look at there father, or grandfather. Most where seemingly taller than her, but she thought she was tall for a woman, and most that where her age looked shorter, which they where. She thought it an accomplishment to be as tall as she was. But compared to him she felt short. Though in reality he wasn't much more than a couple of inches taller than her, she was five foot and nine inches.
That didn't make her stop feeling a little short though. An amusing smile came to her lips as her denim eyes watched him. He acted like her, well by what she knew, he acted like he was still a kid. Though he looked like a teen, so she didn't know how old he was himself. She was an adult, just out of her teens, but she acted as though she where fifteen or sixteen and was living it up.
"Most should be like you then, eat healthier!" She wasn't one who would do good at eating such things. She tried, but veggies and other things of the sort where not her favorite. Though she stayed away from junk food as much as she could, she still ate some. "You teach a class, at kendo, eh? That sounds kinda neat." She laughed at the end of her statement, it did kind of sound neat, fighting little kids with a wooden sword, who wouldn't love that?! Though that was a joke again in her mind.

Daiki quit his laughing for he was afraid that he was going to be looked at weird. He held his stomach for it hurt so bad but he realized he hadn't laughed that hard in so long. But eventually he put his free hand into his pocket and leaned against the shelves. He looked to Alisa with a smile upon his face.
He then shrugged after Alisa's words and said, "It's fun yeah. I'm sorry it's 'neat'. Boy I haven't heard that word in long time." He gave a chuckle and then continued, "But it's harder than you think, Alisa. It's not all just hitting two wooden sticks together. And it includes more mental power then just brawn alone."
Daiki's eyes then got glazed over as he thought of the words his father taught him when he was younger. A grin appeared on his face as he repeated the words that he has memorized over the years,
"Kendo is: To mold the mind and body. To cultivate a vigorous spirit, And through correct and rigid training, To strive for improvement in the art of Kendo. To hold in esteem human courtesy and honor. To associate with others with sincerity. And to forever pursue the cultivation of oneself.
This will make one be able: To love his/her country and society. To contribute to the development of culture And to promote peace and prosperity among all peoples."
Daiki then shook his head to get out of the state of mind and looked to Alisa, "Sorry I tend to just drift off like that from time to time. It's okay if you find me weird now and want to leave my site for good and never come near me again. And I'm sorry too if I was boring you. Again sorry." Daiki gave another chuckle.

She felt old now. Older than she usually felt now. Though she might have looked like she was eighteen maybe even seventeen, she was twenty. And that could be seen by the things she said. 'Neat' was something she said when she was in junior high, maybe even in high school, it had been forever since she heard that word, much less heard it come from her own lips.
Alisa almost asked him what was wrong when she seen him hold his stomach for a moment, though when she blinked he was leaning on the shelf, looking like he hadn't been hurting. Though her mind soon dropped it, thinking nothing was the matter and that it wasn't of importance. She was all ears as he spoke, and when he said he hadn't heard that in so long she couldn't help the laugh that passed her pink lips along with her voice. "I haven't used that word in so long, much less heard it." It was the truth. It had been years.
She nodded her head a little as he told her it wasn't just all about hitting someone with a wooden stick. She figured as much as that. It had to be more difficult than what most thought. That could have been why she saw so many more becoming active. Most where not in the best of shape, but now, all the teens seemed to be out and moving.
"It's quiet alright, I've seen weirder." She gave him a grin. "Now i wonder, how long did it take you to memorize something of the sort?" She was joking, and she really didn't think he would answer her. She had trouble remembering things as well, she could remember a text message conversation in school, but she could never remember something for a test. At least in math she couldn't.

Daiki had to admit to himself that he felt like a complete idiot for saying those words to Alisa. His mouth slipped from him from time to time and it just ran away and gave words out like vomit. Thought Daiki had to admit that he was happy that he didn't bore Alisa to tears or that he thought of her as weird. Then again, she was perhaps a well mannered girl and wouldn't say that in front of him.
The Japanese guy gave a chuckle and began to think about how long it took him to memorize those words, or the concept of kendo. Daiki gave a smirk and said, "It took me about four, five years. To this day my father still says it to me this day." Daiki then stood up from the shevles and looked down to Alisa and said, "Well that enough about me and kendo," He gave a chuckle, "Let's get back to the topic of you. I'm sure your life is more exciting than mine."
